VINTAGE STAMPS

I’m a sucker for vintage things so adding vintage stamps to a couple's custom invitation order adds a lot of fun to the research stage. There is something about an envelope arriving in the mail with an old stamp with flowers, birds or monuments which can offer a lovely story before the envelope is even opened.

CALLIGRAPHY ENVELOPES

My next favorite embellishment on the  list is using hand calligraphy. While I do love using vintage stamps, I think hand calligraphy can push the look of your invitation over the edge with real beauty. Guests will feel a unique and inspirational vibe knowing that you took the time hand lettering each envelope with such artistry and care.

BEAUTIFUL CUSTOM PAPER ENVELOPE LINERS

Another stylish way to enhance is using a decorative envelope liner. I like to suggest this idea for everyone because it is very simple and it doesn’t require spending a fortune. It can help make your custom invitation suite look far more fancy and well thought out.

RIBBON, TWINE OR BELLY BAND

Your custom invitation, rsvp and accommodation card are all stuffed in your envelopes but it may not look complete. The best idea is to take all your pieces and wrap them all together in a little bundle. This gives the invitation a more complete and thoughtful appearance. So are many lovely options in varying price ranges; the possibilities are endless.

FOLIO

If you have several pieces in your invitation, such as three  or more, I suggest a pocket folio. With this option, your guests can return back to the invitation package later to review information as well as be able to keep everything safely together in one place.  This embellishment can also be used in combination with the wrapping ribbon described above.

MONOGRAM TAG

My last suggestion is adding a custom monogram tag that can be attached to the ribbon that wraps around the outside of your invitation package. This is a very nice touch, especially if you plan to use a monogram or initial design on your invitation or other branded wedding materials on the day-of.

There are so many options and it may be hard to imagine what the best option will be. Don’t hesitate to get in touch with me to discuss options and consider budget implications. I can help you make the best decisions on how to compliment your wedding invitations suite.
